It recently occurred to me that I've been wearing a lot of blue lately. Maybe, if you've visited my blog before or follow me on Instagram you've noticed this as well. It seems it's been a lot of blue for a while! Before this year I was always drawn to pink, red, and sometimes turquoise. Occasionally black if coordinated with white or brights but not a lot of blue.
Earlier this year I was given a blue dress as a gift that I would have never chosen for myself but absolutely loved and received so many compliments on. Since then I have found quite a variety of blue dresses and outfits from various sites and shops and they are over my blog, my Instagram page and within my new collection, which you can find and shop from here.
This Floral Asymmetrical Dress is part of that collection which I worked with Mode to create earlier this year. There are actually quite a few blue floral pieces within the range. It wasn't done on purpose. I selected pieces that I thought would have the most appeal and be the most flattering and desirable to wear and style.
The color blue is generally thought of as dependable, trustworthy and committed, and a constant and calming influence in our world. I was curious about what blue flowers represent.
I learned that a blue flower is a symbol of inspiration. It stands for love, inspiration and the quest for the unattainable. Simply, it symbolizes hope. That was fascinating to me because I always associate the anchor symbol with hope and that's why I have been wearing so many anchor-themed pieces of jewelry this summer.
No matter what is happening in our own little worlds or in the whole wide world, we can always have hope. I always feel inspired when I think of what could be even if to some it seems impossible. Hope is what keeps me teaching, blogging and striving to be a good mom, wife, daughter... and so on.
I was glad to find out that the blue flower symbolizes hope and I'm just happy in general to be able to share my style and thoughts with you today.
Thank you so much for you time and attention and I truly hope you enjoyed this post and found it useful.
