What This Teacher Needs(And You Will Too): Aventura Clothing, Blissful Teacher Essential Oils and H2Rose Ice Cream!
Hello! I'm seriously so excited to share with all of you these AMAZING items I know you definitely need. I promise you will be excited too!
First of all, I became an Ambassador for Aventura Clothing earlier this year when I fell in love with their "Clara" dress which you can see here. I also blogged about the company at the time because I was so impressed by what a wonderful family owned and operated business it was and how they were committed to creating fashionable and comfortable clothing with a low environmental impact. My husband is a huge fan of the sister company Ecoths which I shared a little about here. They have a great selection of urban, rugged styles that Jim prefers and he loves the fact that for every one item of clothing sold , 3 meals are provided to someone in need. These sustainable companies are essential for staying fashionable, comfortable and eco-friendly. I will be sharing several items and outfits from the Spring/ Summer Collection within the next few weeks. You will see that each of the pieces is fabulous on its own and even better when coordinated with others from Aventura Clothing. You have already seen my all time favorite hat here and here and you may want to check out this one here.
This is the Hollis Dress in Spiced Coral and you can find it here. I love how the soft fabric of the dress has just the right amount of stretch with an all over sublimination print that creates striations, making each and every piece unique.
I've layered it with both the Madeline scarf in Arabesque which is available here and the Redford Jacket in white which is available in many colors here. I promise this will not be the last time you see and hear about my Redford jackets! Be on the lookout for more blog posts, Instagram posts and instastories featuring Aventura Clothing.
I can't wait to show you more ways I've styled the Hollis Dress, the Madeline Scarf and my Redford Jackets!
Are you wondering what all this is? Maybe you DO know what's in my teacher bag of tricks because you read my post last year about The Blissful Teacher and her Lesson Plan Luxury Essential Oil. I first tried it and immediately blogged about it back in April 2016. It is an amazing healing mist of lemongrass that I have had constantly on my desk and also in my cupboard at home all year. I can't even count the number of these generously sized bottles I've gone through myself and given as gifts throughout this year. Lemongrass on its own is a plant and the leaves and oil are used to make medicine. Lemongrass is used for treating digestive tract spasms, stomachaches, high blood pressure, convulsions, pain, vomiting, cough, achy joints ( rheumatism), fever, the common cough, and exhaustion. It is also used to kill germs and as a mild astringent. Lemongrass oil, which is what I've had the pleasure to experience firsthand from my Lesson Plan Luxury Healing Body Mist from The Blissful Teacher, is essential aromatherapy I rely on daily.
This Balmy Bliss Wild Orange essential oil has so many amazing benefits! Of course it smells citrusy but is also very sweet. I love to use it in my car ( I have a plug in diffuser) , diffused in a room and even in my smoothie. It's most commonly used for digestive and immune support, as well as skin health although you do need to be careful with applying it topically. Out of all the benefits related to Wild Orange essential oil I think the most popular are the emotional impact it has on the mind and heart. Energetically, wild orange is very uplifting to the mind and emotions. This can translate to an increase in physical energy, or an elevating mood. It's often said to be an oil of abundance, opening a person's mind and heart to the potential that surrounds them, and their ability to accept the goodness life is offering. Find it here.
The Administrative Amen is all about clarity, or soothing the mind chatter, which for me has been something I've had to overcome in order to truly be focused and accomplish what I was meant to do in the classroom, with my blogging and in my personal life. Clary Sage ( Salvia sclarea) derives its common name from 'clarus' meaning 'clear.' Actually, in the Middle Ages it was known as "clear eyes" which might also have referred to as clarity of mind-seeing things clearly-since that's one of its benefits. To energize your mind for specific tasks like studying, exams and participating in evaluation conferences it is awesome and you can find it here.
This is the best! It is an all over lavender cream that soothes, protects, hydrates and calms. Find it here and definitely get more than one because you will want to use it everyday and apply it everywhere!
This peppermint balmy bliss is with me all the time. I put it on my wrists and behind my ears because I love the tingly sensation and the powerful scent. Peppermint is so fresh, nostalgic, and instantly recognizable. The essential oil's scent invigorates the mind and senses, while inspiring a sense of peace. Find this handy purse sized formula here.
Here are my favorites all together and also a few things I want to try. The Zen Box is coming soon and I'm going to order two for my kids to present to their new teachers when they enter their new classrooms in August. I definitely need the "Bugs Be Gone" before I attend another Baseball/Fireworks Evening!
You may wonder why the names are all "School Teacher" themed. For example this "Eye Teach" is a wonderful lavender eye cream that helps you sleep so well, and reduces puffiness, fine lines and wrinkles. It's certainly not JUST for teachers. Unless teachers are the only ones seeking remedies for these things but I truly do not think so. These essential oils, creams, mists and ointments are for everyone but Beth Wrobel, founder and owner of The Blissful Teacher, was once a teacher. She was so inspired years ago when a friend suggested peppermint to soothe her daughter's cold, educated herself through workshops about the power of oils. Her personal need expanded and her line began with mists, expanded to include body exfoliating scrubs, creams, mosquito and tick formulas as well as pet spray. Because Beth Wrobel was a proud educator of Elementary Education and Gifted Education for 23 years she saw first hand the need for these products as colleagues were very stressed with the growing behavioral needs, standard changes and increasing in acedemic testing and demands. She resigned from teaching to pursue her goal of helping all of those in the education field and beyond. Beth has had extensive training since 2012 and continues to learn and grow as an Oil Fairy! I'm glad I discovered her line a year ago and I certainly can not see myself teaching without my favorites from her collection. I'm still relying on them now that I'm home (finally) for the summer.
And what's in my bag? I always have my peppermint bliss with me and with my H2rose, which is a rose water and saffron infused beverage my family and I enjoy. You may remember I blogged about it here and here. I mentioned I would share some recipes I invented because I love the water and its benefits so much.
The is H2rose Strawberry Walnut Ice Cream and it's so easy to make!
1 lb strawberries, stems removed
2 tsp. H2rose
1 tsp. vanilla extract
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups heavy cream
1-3 drops of pink food coloring, optional
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1. In blender, purée strawberries.
2. Add condensed milk, H2rose, and vanilla until combined.
3. In a separate bowl beat heavy cream with a wire whisk on high speed until stiff peaks form.
4. Pour the strawberry mixture into the heavy cream and fold until combined.
5. If desired add the food coloring.
6. Spread mixture onto a parchment paper lined 9x breadpan, and cover tightly with plastic wrap.
7. Freeze overnight. Sprinkle with walnuts when serving.
So. What do you think? Do you need any or all of these things? Do you know someone that does? I would love to hear from you and connect further. Feel free to leave me a comment, email or even an email if you have something to share.
I truly appreciate your time and attention and hope you found this post worthwhile!
Thank you so much!
