Lace...Fantasy of Nature
"I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever of the fantasy of nature."
I came across this quote the other day and it reminded me of a few things. My new lace dresses from Nakd Fashion, the fact that there seem to be some people who are true 'nature' people and then others, like me, that are not , and fantasies in general.
As many people know I tend to be a dreamer. A person who still believes everything will turn out beautiful and wonderful and everybody will have a happy ending. I am also entirely practical and will do everything possible to make sure people in my life are happy, healthy and safe and will not risk that for a whim or less than sensible idea.
My fashion sense stems from my always fantasizing, dreamer side and has often put me in situations where I may not have seemed the most practical, yet I assure you, I was comfortable. For example, I will wear a dress and heels to the playground. A colorful, fun and modest maxi dress and wedge sandal heels, but a dress and heels nonetheless.
Although my dad took these pictures in our local Marriott, I would definitely wear these dresses to an outdoor picnic. I would like to soon plan one, actually, so if you are local or plan to be in RI sometime in the next couple of months let me know.
I would love to celebrate my garden's abundance by setting out checkered tablecloths like these...
And piling tables high with fresh dishes.

What do you think? Doesn't that sound like a fabulous way to appreciate nature? Are you more of an "outdoorsy" type of person than I am? Do you think of nature as having 'fantasy' type designs the way Coco Chanel described? Would you wear a lace dress such as one of these to an outdoor picnic or event? I'd love to hear from you!
I hope you found this post worthwhile. I truly appreciate your time and attention.
As always, I appreciate all feedback and will respond to everyone in a timely fashion.
Thank you so much!
