Every Great Dream Begins With a Dreamer: Miracles Require Action
"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars and change the world."
This quote by Harriet Tubman has great meaning and power. If a person has will power, patience, creativity to pursue something that would lead them to success, all that person really needs is a plan. Dreams in themselves do not lead to success. The most successful entrepreneurs, politicians, scientists--they not only dreamed; they persisted. They struggled against short-sighted men, and they lost, not only once but perhaps for most of their lives. They fought, they lost and they suffered. But they triumphed. They left their legacies to the future and their legacies became our reality. Whether we turn on a lightbulb or muse about the sun being the center of our solar system, we are unconsciously obeying their will.
At the end of every day we go to bed. In this period of time we are allowed to dream our wildest dreams, realistic or fantasy. A time to imagine and create new standards for society, or just your every day life. In any case they require effort. Although the process of dreaming happens overnight success has never happened so quickly. Whether you put the the plan of your dreams into action with passion can determine the level of success.
I believe that even the smallest dreams can become something greater. Some of the greatest successes have come from the smallest of dreams, all because the dreamer put the time and effort into the process of something they believed in. Making a dream come true can be lots of work, time-consuming, fun, easy or all of the above.
A dream may start from a thought, or a mental image, but this is just the first step. If you stay there, you will enjoy the dream, but one day you will see you are standing still, like a person watching a beautiful and inspiring movie, over and again, but not going out to the real world to create and love what he or she has seen in the movie.
I do believe in miracles. Sometimes miracles do happen, but why not make miracles happen? You can create miracles when you know what you want, adopt a positive attitude and take action.
Help the miracle happen, by participating in its creation, by planning, visualizing, expecting, and acting. For some people taking action to achieve a dream may look like a difficult step because they don't know where to start and what to do. It is here that those people will stop and not go further. The people that succeed are those that think, plan, read and look around them to see open doors. In order to see the open doors you need motivation and faith in yourself.
This has to do with every area of life, including relationships, work, material success, self improvement, meditation and spiritual growth.
Don't wait for miracles to happen. Make them happen. Everything starts as a dream, but requires action. Even miracles require action.
I believe Jacqueline Lapuck is a perfect example of a person that is taking action to make her ultimate dream come true. She created the bracelets I am wearing. They are a mix of turquoise, blue sandstone, and faceted agate. She has a beautiful complete line of jewelry and every piece is unique and made with the highest quality of materials and the most precise level of craftsmanship.
She has lived all over the country. She grew up in Massachusetts and did her undergrad in Colorado. She recently moved to Providence from Chicago. She has always had a love for everything fashion, pink, and sparkly. Throughout her junior year of college she studied abroad in Paris and was there for fashion week. She was fortunate to attend the Alexander Mcqueen fashion show (the last one before he past away). It was at that moment she knew she wanted to apply to Parsons The New School For Design and study fashion marketing for her post graduate education. While there, she started making her own jewelry as a hobby and was constantly stopped by people wanting to purchase her pieces. With her growing popularity, she turned her eye for design into a full-time business about one year ago.
Her jewelry features unique, statement jewelry that is all handmade. Designs include bold, one-of-a-kind pieces that can be worn alone or in a set. She creates precious and semi-precious beaded bracelets and necklaces with different crystals and charm accents. She uses all kinds of stones from aquamarine to onyx to labradorite. Her bracelets and necklaces can be dressed up for a fancy night out or worn with a workout outfit to add a little sparkle.
Between graduating from Parsons and running her jewelry business full time she also had experiences interning at Vogue in the accessories department and working at Rue La La in Boston as project manager for marketing projects.
Explore her complete line and connect with Jacqueline! I know you will be as amazed and inspired as I am!
Another person, or I should say, entire company, that is fully committed to making their dream of a better future for all come true is the Mosaiqe Company. They create handmade watches from honest wood for every single watch they sell five trees are planted. Their motto is "Sowing Seeds For the Future" and their foundations are based upon nature and new life. They believe it's important that they never forget their roots. Fittingly they partnered with 'Trees For The Future' to embark on an adventure that allows them to plant five trees for every Mosaiqe wooden watch purchased on the website. Joining hands Mosaiqe and Trees For The Future help to improve the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands.
Since 1989, with their experience in planting over 128 million trees all over the world, 'Trees For The Future' have demonstrated the transformative power of trees in helping people break out of the poverty trap while addressing the global environment.
Today, their work in East and West Africa is helping to build a world where people can leave a legacy of opportunity through sustainable practices and productive lands for future generations.
