Too Much of a Good Thing Is Wonderful
It's been an amazing week. This Mae West quote "Too much of a good thing is wonderful." was popping into my head, as quotes often seem to do, all week. I finally, after 5 weeks of hearing about what an "epic" place Providence Bagel is, had the chance to stop by to experience it for myself. My friend Jen Pierce, who you probably have heard about if you've been following me on Instagram for a while, and I visited owner Chris Wietecha and his awesome staff on Friday. Jen and I, like many teachers at our school, rarely go out on our lunch break because we are usually busy doing a million teacher things at the same time. This is all going to have to change because not only is Providence Bagel only 5 minutes from our school, Harry Kizirian Elementary, it is phenomenal!
I was impressed when speaking to Chris to hear about his mission and his path in creating this fabulous business. His mission is to consistently provide Providence the highest quality, freshly made products complimented by first class service. He and his team strive not just to meet expectations but exceed every customer's expectations. They spent over a year visiting some of the best bagel shops not only in New York, but across the country to ensure they could bring their customers the best bagel they ever had.
Their bagels are made fresh daily at their North Main Street store from the freshest local ingredients, using their proprietary recipes, developed in conjunction with one of New York's most famous bagel bakers. They use the latest baking technology that many New York shops are changing to that allow them to create that special texture and and flavor associated with a high quality bagel. Their ovens are the same that many New York bagel shops are using to replace the inconsistent, old fashioned methods. They use simple, natural ingredients like flour, water, yeast and malt to make the great tasting bagels but their menu is extremely unique and creative! Here is Jen Pierce. I am fortunate to work next door to her and she is always a great source of inspiration for both lesson ideas and for fashion forward style. She is wearing a sweater from Venus and necklace from aliexpress.com. The jeans are Miss Me brand and boots are Rock and the Republic. We met a lot of nice people at Providence Bagel.
I am still not 100% sure if Miranda really works here or is a supermodel in disguise as a bagel baker.
Cinnamon-sugar topping, baby. I needed a close up of that.
This is Austin, an aspiring model who I'm sure we will all see more of. He is a frequent customer who claims that Providence Bagel is the one place he can go where both the food and drinks are consistently amazing !
Jen and I ended up taking our food back to school. We enjoyed it all so much and are planning to be frequent guests, just like Austin.
Jen opted for an extremely healthy Greek salad wrap. She always makes wise choices ;) and ended up sharing the chips, as teachers often do;)
I'm definitely looking forward to returning. For more information check out this article from another satisfied customer http://providenceonline.com/stories/providence-bagel-north-main-street,22342 and go ahead and follow Chris and his team on Instagram http://instagram.com/providencebagel !
How about this jacket ? Speaking of too much of a good thing being wonderful I wore this jacket on repeat all week. It is from http://instagram.com/zaful and I absolutely love it.
I also wore this Zaful jacket with a dress from thredup and a scarf from Chico's.
I have to admit this jacket reminds me of caramel and since it's the end of the week and I've been such a good girl let's apply Mae West's quote to indulging in some caramel flavored cocktails !

So, what do you think? Do you agree with Mae West ? When it comes to Providence Bagel, My Brown Zaful Moto-Jacket, Sassy Grace Charm Boutique and Caramel Cocktails I do!
